During her 28 years in the education profession, Mrs. Specht has been a first grade classroom teacher, a seventh grade Reading teacher, a Reading Clinic Supervisor, an undergraduate and graduate school adjunct professor, K-5 Reading Specialist, and a Literary Coach/ Specialist with the NJDOE's Office of Literacy.  She received her Master's degree in Elementary Education with her Reading Specialist certification from St. Joseph's University; and her undergraduate Bachelors of Arts with elementary teaching certification from Villanova University .  She also holds a NJ Supervisor certificate, a NJ Principal certificate and NJ School Administrator certificate. As a working Director, she has also been a mentor to principal certification candidates in the NJ EXCEL program from The Foundation for Educational Administration.

 

In 2007, Mrs. Specht joined the Bellmawr Learning Community as the Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction.  After receiving her Principal certificate, she became the Director of Curriculum and Instruction. She has enjoyed working with teachers and students in the classrooms throughout the district discussing and exploring new ways to enjoy teaching and learning.  Mrs. Specht strives every day with teachers and students to attain excellence in any learning experience.
