Parent Involvement

The Bellmawr Learning Community is in the process of organizing a Family Liaison Committee. This committee will consist of both parents/guardians and educators. The purpose of establishing this committee is so that the district can identify the supports parents might benefit from so that they can better assist their children with their academics. The committee will also attempt to develop opportunities for parents to become more engaged in their child’s education. In addition to building on the parent-child relationship, the committee will attempt to identify and make available resources and support networks to the parents in the Bellmawr community. These resources could include educational, mental health, physical supports, etc. Your name was submitted as someone who may be interested in serving on this committee. Since the committee will be a newly established project, exact details have not yet been determined. Dates/times of meetings, specific activities, etc. will be discussed and decided upon in the upcoming weeks. The central focus of the committee meetings will be to represent the needs of the parents of the Bellmawr learning community. Brainstorming and identifying the needs of the community will be a major component of the committee. However, the most important aspect of the committee is to offer information that will hopefully allow us to reach out to many of our parents and provide useful assistance. If you are interested in participating on this committee or would like more information before you agree to commit your time, you may contact me by phone or email. I would be happy to answer any questions or discuss in more detail the goals of this project. Please contact Rose Ann Yezzo or Phone: (856) 931-6305. We look forward to partnering with you on this exciting new venture Sincerely Annette Castiglione.
